Dr. Aaron Celestian and Robert Procop have collaborated to create a collection of the finest and most rare gems weighing 100 carats. After an extensive and meticulous curation process that spanned the far reaches of the globe, they are delighted to present 100 Carats: Icons of the Gem World, displayed in the vault of The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Setting the stage for this exclusive exhibition are majestic jewels featuring 50 carat gems, crafted by the master creator, Robert Procop.

Dr. Aaron Celestian and Robert Procop have worked together to bring this brilliant collection of some of the rarest and finest gems in the world to the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County (NHMLAC). The collaboration has also enabled new research opportunities to better understand the dynamic processes that led to the formation of these exceptional gems, which has generated new knowledge of Earth’s geologic history.
